Hyderabad In My Eyes

(Prasanth K.Snigtha)
It’s been one month since I came to Hyderabad. Everyday thousands of people come here for work but a few only will grow love on this city and get life. Hyderabad is the best example for our national theme “Unity in Diversity”, where people from various ethnic traditions and regions live.
One of my first Hyderabad Friends, who is struggling survive in Pune, told me “Anyone can come and live in Hyderabad but no Hyderabadi can go out and survive”.
I realized that it is true in a few days.
The first noticeable thing in Hyderabad is  Language of people. It is like a mix of Urdu, Hindi and Telugu and is known as Dakkani. Without having notion of those words it would be typical to seem as Hyderabadi. Here are a few words.
Hau-Ha, Kayku- Kyum, Nakko- No thaks, Kya miya- What’s up dude, Hallu Hallu- Slowly,Potta-boy,Potti-girl…etc.
One common thing that bothers Mr.Mercedes as well as cyclewala is the traffic in city. Some people find MMTS as solution to this traffic jam but that only covers a few areas in city but the low charges prompt  passengers to choose MMTS.
The city is fond of food. There are myriad number of Restaurants, Sweet shops in the city. The specialty is even middle class also have abundant choice of eateries. Hyderabad’s own dishes are Dum Biryani (Bawarchi is famous) and Haleem(Famous restaurant is Pista House). Both are tasteful but whole city wait for Ramzan season to eat Haleem. Hyderabad biryani is good for those who eat it once a while but for those who are familiar to biryani , Hyderabad biryani may not please them. But it is disgusting when a cafewala gives you a plate of noodles while chewing Paan( A tobacco stuff). One drink that has same and good taste all over the city is Tea.  It’s must take drink here.
Which human animal doesn’t like shopping??
Hyderabad has special shopping facilities exclusively for Ladies. Metro, Hyderabad Central,City Center...etc. have set a brand value in the city and placec for all consumer goods. If one thinks those are for wealthy people, there is KOTI for all where everything is available from blade to sandals at lower price. Sunday markets at Erragadda and Abids are famous for duplicate branded good.
On the road, you come across many SBVs(Secret Behind the Veil). Almost 70% of the Ladies are selfish who enjoy seeing everything but show their eyes only. It becomes a fashion for every girl to wear Veil and the business of veils also is in good form.
I have to give a synonym to Ameerpet. It is a “Jatara” (Celebration). Thousands of professional grads daily come here to learn Computer and Tech courses. The common words one hears there are “Naresh Tech is good for .Net, Peers tech is good for Oracle, Satya Tech is good for Java..Etc.”. Students from various places in India come Hyderabad in the name of IT, Civil Services, GATE.Life means running here.
An Important information for people new to Hyderabad is,if it is raining in Hyderabad, one should stop at where he is, even if he is on the bike. Even God doesn’t know where the bloody Man Hole is. Such a drainage system is there in Hyderabad.
People seem not worrying about these issues. If you worry, they say ‘Kaiku pareshan Miya, Light le mamu’(Why are you sad dude, take it easy}.
IT hub in Hitech city, Gachibowli and Buildings in Jublihills may be the pride of Andhra Pradesh. At the same time to  hard up muslim ladies in Old city, Beggars, Poor Drainage system are the proofs of negligence and social discrimination.
People are still happy in the midst of those entire problems. You know why??
Since, Hyderabad is their Love.
